Join Aidan for a hands-on woodworking workshop and learn the complete furniture-making process, creating a sturdy three-legged stool from beautiful native British hardwood.

WHAT WILL I DO?

Throughout the day, you’ll work with a mix of hand tools and workshop machinery to take home your own handcrafted stool and a wealth of new skills and woodworking knowledge.

You’ll be guided through each stage, from selecting the timber to finishing your stool. You’ll learn how to read the grain, assess wood quality, and mill rough-sawn timber into precise components.

As the day unfolds, you’ll progress to cutting traditional wedged mortice and tenon joinery, shaping the legs, and mastering effective glue-up techniques.

Throughout the day, you’ll work with a mix of hand tools and workshop machinery, gaining confidence in using different methods to achieve professional-quality results. You’ll experience the satisfaction of making furniture by hand, leaving you with a deeper appreciation for the craft and the chance to learn a new skill.
